Fifty Shades of Grey? Fifteen Reasons to Read "Sex with a Sailor" next...

1. In Sex with a Sailor, the female protagonist, Joanna, is not a clumsy college co-ed like Ana.  She does not have to trip or stumble to get powerful men to notice her. How refreshing... a young lady who can walk and talk without stumbling!

2. John doesn't have to draw up a contract to get what he wants.  He doesn't make even close to the money that Christian commands but he knows how to get what he wants from women without money or "sign here" forms.

3. Fifty Shades of Grey takes place mainly on the West coast where it constantly rains and is overcast. How dull and depressing is that?  Sex with a Sailor takes us to the sunny tropical setting of Florida and the Florida Keys. Florida is the Sunshine State. the exact opposite of Washington State!

4. Christian buys Ana an Apple laptop computer. Apple? Really?  We like IBM!

5.  We made sure to give you BDSM in Sex with a Sailor.  You liked it in Fifty Shades of Grey, right? Want to read about it some more? Here it is!

6. Joanna doesn't break up with John after experiencing BDSM.  She wants more!

7. Fifty Shades of Grey is about 20 something singles.  Sex with a Sailor is about 30 and 40 something singles, and particularly, newly divorced single gals. They need love too!

8. Christian has a helicopter. John has a boat.  Well, Christian has a boat too, but what doesn't Christian have?

9. When John purchases cable ties, masking tape and rope at a hardware store, they're specifically for his boat... or are they?

10. John and Joanna will show you that you can have a craving for dominant/submissive role play and still be a normal person without weird psychological scars to enjoy it...

11. If you were using Fifty Shades of Grey to keep company with your vibrator, you will be able to enjoy using Sex with a Sailor in the same way.

12. Wouldn't you have loved to know what Christian Grey was thinking throughout the book? Sex with a Sailor gives you an erotic romance story from both the man's and the woman's perspectives.

13. Are you sick of hearing about Anastasia's "Inner Goddess?" Time to go back to characters who don't have a fantasy persona living inside of them who does stuff like the merengue with some salsa moves and jumping up and down with cheer-leading pom-pons.

14. After reading a trilogy featuring a main character who is a 27 year-old, gorgeous billionaire, who is a Harvard dropout, who owns many companies, a helicopter, a boat, an airplane, and who secretly practices BDSM, it will be very refreshing to read about a man from the real world, with a real job and real problems.  Meet John...a real man who does not need a red room of pain to entertain the ladies.

15. Sex with a Sailor is not compared to or parodied off of any other previously written books.  Fifty Shades of Grey was some kind of weird spin off from the popular Twilight Series.  Its time to go back to reading books that stand alone.
