Under My Skin
What Does it Mean When John says Joanna is the Kind of Girl Who Could Get Under His Skin?
This is actually really heavy stuff. John is a player, remember? He likes to stay safe. He doesn't want to fall in love with anybody. He likes to have fun until it gets serious. As soon as somebody gets too close, he leaves.
But if somebody "Gets Under Your Skin", just what does this imply?

According to the Urban Dictionary, this is what it means when somebody "gets under your skin":
1. when you meet someone and you're drawn to them. you can't stop thinking about them even when you don't know them. something about them just sparks something down deep. your imagination starts to run wild and you're physically and emotionally altered. they fascinate you.

So, as we can see, it can be pretty scary stuff if somebody gets "under your skin". What is John going to about it if Joanna does "get under his skin"? This is not a man who wants this to happen!

Our characters in Sex with A Sailor, John and Joanna, have both gone through divorces.
Break ups are so very hard.
Even when it's not a divorce.
If you have ever been there, don't you sometimes wish you could just sleep through the whole thing and wake up after the leaving is all done and the heartache is less?
Here is a song by Nora Jones, with a Key West/Ocean feel, and words that say just that.... wake me up when it's over.
A good break up song, I think.
John and Joanna may have felt like this before. Perhaps that is why John is so tough to get close to. That man sure does put up fences, you know...

Sex with a Sailor - The Story of John & Joanna
What happens Next???????
Well, we don't want to give away any spoilers, but we DO have a very good Book 5 in the works for our series. Book 5 is planned to be the final installment of the Sex with a Sailor series and will end the story of our protagonists, John and Joanna. Forever? No way of telling.... yet! But it will end this chapter of their relationship.
What we WILL tell you is that Book 5 not only has some more sexual adventures between the two, but the emotional tensions will finally come to a head.
Doesn't that have to happen eventually? In all relationships? You know it!!
